Everything from the atmosphere to the service to the quality of food was top notch at our birthday celebration dinner at COYOTE cafe!! Enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend. Arrived early to our reservation and stopped in at the upstairs cantina for a flaming Samurai! Also AMAZING!!

We had a delicious dinner at Coyote Cafe with friends. We started the meal with Bison Carpaccio for an appetizer. It was delicious and a generous portion for an appetizer. Thinly sliced bison in a red sauce with apples and croutons. I then had the Tellichelly Elk Tenderloin. This was cooked to perfection at medium rare and the meat was so tender and perfect. Overall, we were very pleased with the service, the ambiance and would recommend despite it being one of the pricier meals we had in Santa Fe

Really tasted like New Mexico. I had a bison carpaccio and a roasted quail that felt like the best campground food of all time. A wild boar osso bucco was less successful--slightly underseasoned, and I'm sorry, but blue corn polenta looks worse than dog food. Dessert, a caramelized banana creme pie, was merely good. Drinks were very good, house cornbread even better, and decor is extremely 1987 (positive). Would definitely come back next time I'm in Santa Fe.

Love this place so much we came here twice. First night we did make reservation the day before. Semi dressy and upscale atmosphere. Reserved a table. Our waitress was very helpful with making food decisions. For cocktails we got a prickly pear margarita and the Water street sunset. Both were very beautiful cocktails but the sunset one was the best! The free cornbread and whipped honey butter was insane, so good! We started with the chili prawns. These were incredible and they even split the app for us since we were sharing. For entrees we shared the Elk tenderloin and the Baja seabass. Both were outstanding dishes and paired great together to share. Lastly we had the empanadas dessert as per our waitresses recommendation. What a way to end the meal. 2 days later we decided it was so good we wanted to go again. We made reservations day of but they only had bar seats, which was fine. This time we tried the quail and it was good, but not quite as good as the shrimp. For entrees we had to get the elk again, it was so good, but this time as per a customer sitting right next to us got the scallops and they did not disappoint! Instead of dessert this time we got a side of mac and cheese with bacon. What a meal. This is a must go in Sante fe!!!

We returned to the Coyote Cafe after a gap of twenty years or more. This place was all the buzz back in the day, making national news and helping to place Santa Fe's dining scene into global prominence. We were curious whether the food has held up over the years. The answer is a resounding yes! We ordered smaller portions and the waitstaff was understanding and very helpful. Everything from the prawns to start to the banana dessert were truly elevated. Definitely a great choice for a splurge meal. The atmosphere is very posh, muted , and conducive to conversation.

We visit Sante Fe several times a year and Coyote Cafe is always somewhere we choose to dine. It's guaranteed to be a great meal. Bella specifically stood out with exceptional customer service. It's clear that not only is she fantastic at what she does but she also truly cares about guests and their experience. Will definitely be back again. We also usually pop into the cantina for lunch or at least a snack and cocktails during the day. Adriana was great and we really appreciated her charismatic energy.

Michael and I came here for dinner. It was wonderful as always. Michael had the Tellicherry Elk and loved it. I had the Divers Scallops, which were exquisite. We shared an appetizer, the Tempura Squash Blossoms -- also exquisite. He enjoyed the Banana Cream Pie. I had no room for dessert. Our server was Andy who has been there for four years and was absolutely wonderful. So was everyone else. We're coming back as part of a party of five this coming Thursday night. We're really looking forward to it!

Cool upstairs spot in the heart of Santa Fe. In for a late lunch, tried a couple of margaritas, an app and a sandwich. Service is quick and attentive. As long as you're in the shade, recommend sitting outside. Margs were well mixed, icy cold and refreshing. There's a bunch to choose from. Tried Mini Chimis, which are eggroll-sized chimichangas. Nicely stuffed, crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside. Exactly what you'd expect and these were very good. Also tried a Cuban sandwich. Roasted pork shoulder is topped with gruyere, pickles and mustard on a pressed panini. Not exactly Tampa Cuban quality, but a delicious variation. Fries on the side are sprinkled with green chili to add another dimension. Delicious. A great spot for a casual lunch in an outdoor cantina.

We came in as a party of 5 on Sunday evening for a reservation at 6:00. We are glad we made a reservation here because it was busy! Their dining room is comfortable, bright and elegant. We decided to dress up for the occasion. I ordered a masa chignon for my cocktail, which was a tequila martini which featured maize. This was strong, bold and wonderful. This cocktail only had 4 ingredients, and it was excellent. I ordered a Southwest rolled caesar for my salad, and it came presented in little rolls. This was stunning to the eye and very creative! I just wish the serving size had been bigger, because these rolls were fantastic. For my entree, I ordered the Tellicherry peppered elk tenderloin. This was a winner-the portion size was perfect, the elk was tender (I always go medium rare or rare for my meats) and the potatoes were nice and garlicky. We shared amongst ourselves the dessert empanadas and pecan pie for something sweet. These were lovely. They featured a whipped sour cream with the empanadas. While that wasn't for me personally, it was well executed. I loved their pineapple empanada filling and they nailed the pie. Our waiter was very attentive, made great recommendations to us and we had a comfortable stay and experience here.
